What the course will cover:
Anatomy and physiology of the heart and its electrical system. Common heart rhythms including sinus, tachycardia, brady, A-fib and A-flutter.
We will also explore V-tach, V-fib, SVT and Heart blocks. Students will learn to place EKG electrodes for 4 or 5 lead and 12 lead EKG's. Treatment options for dangerous rhythms are discussed. Numerous real life rhythm "strips" to study and learn.
